10 YEARS AND A NEW WEBSITE LATER

Let’s not go there — let’s not compare it to having a child. But we can certainly say that it was a little bit like the launch of the new iPhone 11. It was very much anticipated, it took a lot of work, and it’s finally here! The new redesigned Photo Workshop Adventures website has been launched and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Ten Years On
We have to admit, proudly, that PWA has many reasons to celebrate: we are about to reach a milestone of 10 years of travel and photography, and this “marriage” is still going strong. During these years we added several new destinations and new adventures, many amazing photographers have joined our team, and the number of happy guests who have turned into friends for life keeps growing. Our new and exciting Rewards Program, where guests earn points from their very first trip, is a way to welcome them and thank them properly, so they can receive discounts that can be redeemed when they book additional tours with us.
Responsive Design
The new website reflects our growth and advancement, and is the product of months and months of hard work. As PWA founder Michael Chinnici puts it, “We needed to develop an experience that exceeded the expectations. Our team worked countless hours over the last two years to make this vision a reality”. Things have evolved in the last decade, and the new website adapts to every device including mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. Who could imagine back then that a mobile phone would be more that a tool to talk to friends and family?
Peace of Mind
Even concerns like health insurance abroad is easy handled now with our new partner Medjet (International Evacuation Insurance). Travel insurance is available as always through our partner Travelex. Peace of mind is thankfully inexpensive these days.
Easier Navigation
The responsive design is clean and easy to navigate, designed with interactive tools that makea it easier for our future guests to review every adventure and decide where they would like to go. It couldn’t be easier to combine a spectacular vacation with a wonderful creative learning experience.
The new dropdown menu and search capabilities allow users to search photo adventures by photography genre, length of a tour, or even by a selected photographer leader. There is also a NEWS section that features interesting updates and information about Photo Workshop Adventures and its team, like the soon to be published book “Vanishing Cuba” by Michael Chinnici.
Everybody can create an account, even if they are not ready to travel yet. Once they register for an adventure, they can view all aspects of their upcoming trip and are able to download documents, itineraries and more directly from there. Guests will soon be able to create a wish lists for future trips, making it easier to plan the best time to visit their favorite destinations.
Interactive Maps and Schedules
Our interactive global map invites viewers to explore the world. The schedule shows all of the adventures by date, and thanks to our integrated Photo Galleries, it’s easy to visualize the trip. Soon, you’ll be imagining yourself on a beach in Thailand, in a castle in Scotland, or on a boat in Varanasi, holding your camera and ready to shoot.
Something For Everyone
Do you have time only for a short trip? No problem — you can spend 5 days photographing historic plantations and perfectly preserved 18th and 19th century architecture. Do you want to get away for a while and step into a new world? Join us in Bhutan, the magical land that has been intentionally kept isolated from modernity to preserve its unique character. If you love landscape photography and dream of sunset and sunrises on the water, take a road trip with us along the California coast. And if street photography is your passion, come with us to Cuba or India. Here you will find the most interesting settings in the backstreets of Havana in Cuba or during one of the most colorful festivals in the world, the Holi Festival of Color in India.
Of course we are not going to stop here. We know how convenient chatting can be while browsing, so Live Chat will be available soon, for any question or concern. We plan to design more and more adventures to experience together. We hope to find a way to make you smell the green grass of Scotland when you navigate that page, hear the sound of the ocean while you browse the 3 AMIGOS adventure in Sardinia and feel the warm breeze of the desert when you are considering joining our adventure in Morocco. As you know, a picture is never just a picture.
